SEAFDEC/IFRDMD Helds a Workshop “Enhancing Sustainability of Peatland Area through Freshwater Aquaculture and Community Engagement Strategies”

Wednesday on 8th December 2021 a workshop has been held at the M Bahalap Hotel, Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan. This event started from 8.00 – 13.00 Jakarta Time and was attended by 42 offline participants and 23 online participants via zoom. Collaborating with Palangka Raya University, and presenting 7 (seven) speakers that consist of 5 (five) offline and 2 (two) online speakers, this event is intended to giving knowledge about sustainable peatland management integrated with fisheries management specifically address the information about sustainable fisheries management in Australia and Europe, share the knowledge of SPEECTRA model as one of model for integrated peatland management, and also share the information about the important of collaboration in management of peatlands for increasing its economy, social and environment value.
