SEAFDEC/IFRDMD CONDUCTS SURVEY ON DATA COLLECTION IN INDONESIA

SEAFDEC/IFRDMD conducted data collection survey under JTF VI Phase 2 entitled “Management scheme of inland fisheries in the Southeast Asian region” on 10-13 February 2020 in Riau, Indonesia. The survey team members consist of the researchers from SEAFDEC/IFRDMD, namely: Dr. Safran Makmur, Mr. Khoirul Fatah, Ms. Sevi Sawestri, and Mr. Aroef Hukmanan Rais; Dr. Eko Prianto from Riau University; and Ms. Setiya Triharyuni from Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries.
The objectives of this survey were to assess biodiversity of inland fisheries and conduct data collection in Kampar River Riau. Riau Province is one of the Indonesia pilot projects which has potential inland fisheries resources. The strategic geographic location of this province gives the benefit for the fisheries sector.
