Held on Friday, 24 October 2025, the activity began with a morning exercise session enthusiastically joined by staff and participants. After the exercise, the program continued with the distribution of fish-based meals to underprivileged communities, including online motorcycle taxi drivers, street cleaners, and waste collectors in the Jakabaring area of Palembang. This social action reflected RIIFE and SEAFDEC/IFRDMD’s commitment to promoting the nutritional benefits of fish to the wider public, while at the same time raising awareness of the importance of fish consumption for a healthy lifestyle.
Through this participation, SEAFDEC/IFRDMD reaffirmed its support for national initiatives that emphasize sustainability and community welfare. This spirit of collaboration is in line with the vision of “Golden Indonesia 2045,” where the fisheries sector plays a vital role in ensuring food security and improving the livelihoods of people in both coastal and inland areas.
