During the discussion, SEAFDEC/IFRDMD also presented its plan to organize a training workshop at the end of November 2025 for staff of the Fisheries Office and Fisheries Extension Officers. The workshop will focus on three main topics: Market-Ready Product, which emphasizes product ideation, quality standards, and packaging; Entrepreneurship Communication, which develops communication and promotional skills for entrepreneurship; and Digital Go-to-Market, which introduces digital marketing strategies such as branding, content creation, and the use of online platforms.
The audience included the Regent of Muara Enim, Mr. H. Edison; the Head of the Fisheries Office of Muara Enim Regency, Dr. Fredy Febriansyah, and his team; the Expert Staff of the Regent; representatives from Bappeda Muara Enim; Fisheries Extension Officers; the Head of the Research Institute for Inland Fisheries and Extension (BRPPUPP); and the SEAFDEC/IFRDMD team.
The Regent warmly welcomed and expressed his support for SEAFDEC/IFRDMD’s initiatives to promote sustainable inland fisheries and improve the welfare of local communities. SEAFDEC/IFRDMD reaffirmed its commitment to continue close collaboration with the local government and relevant institutions.
