Two Students Conclude Internship at SEAFDEC/IFRDMD with Final Presentation

On 13 April 2026, two internship students from the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Sriwijaya, delivered a final presentation to mark the completion of their internship at SEAFDEC/IFRDMD.
The session was attended by the Deputy Chief of SEAFDEC/IFRDMD, staff members, and internship students from the Jakarta Fisheries Business Polytechnic currently assigned to the Research Institute for Inland Fisheries and Extension (RIIFE). The presentation was held at RIIFE in Mariana, Banyuasin Regency, Indonesia.
The activity served as an opportunity for the students to share the results of their internship experience and reflect on the knowledge and insights they had gained during their placement at SEAFDEC/IFRDMD. It also provided a valuable platform for discussion and exchange with participants from different academic and professional backgrounds.
As part of the visit, the participants also had the opportunity to visit Smart Fisheries Village Mariana, one of the programs of Indonesia’s Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF). The visit offered additional exposure to ongoing efforts in fisheries development and community-based innovation.
During the session, the students received constructive comments, suggestions, and advice to improve their internship report. They also gained useful guidance as they prepare to enter the next stage of their academic journey, particularly the writing of their undergraduate thesis.
Through activities such as this, SEAFDEC/IFRDMD continues to support student capacity development by providing practical learning opportunities and encouraging stronger links between academic study and professional experience.
