The visit was conducted as part of a series of activities under the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) organized by the Department of Marine Science, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Sriwijaya, Indonesia, through the EQUITY Program.
During the visit, Dr. Jitraporn was warmly welcomed by staff members of the two institutions. The activity provided an opportunity to strengthen communication and collaboration among academic institutions and research organizations, particularly in the fields of fisheries and aquatic resource development. She also toured several facilities, including the Inland Fishing Gear Collection, Inland Fish Product Display, Freshwater Fish Museum, laboratories, and the IFRDMD Corner.
During the facility tour, discussions were held on inland fisheries research, fishery resource management, educational initiatives, and potential collaborative opportunities between institutions. The visit also served as an opportunity to introduce various research activities, facilities, and information resources managed by the host institutions.
The activity reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen international academic cooperation and promote knowledge exchange among institutions in Southeast Asia, particularly in the fields of fisheries, marine science, and sustainable resource management.
